Friday’s Staff Development Day
Again,
I want to thank you for engaging in Friday’s staff development meeting and
throughout your team and individual planning time – both Nora and I thought
that the day was a success.
Resiliency Advisory Postponed Until
Tuesday, 11/27.
We
postponed the advisory on resilience scheduled for this Thursday until Tuesday,
November 27 after hearing your feedback during Friday’s PD meeting – thanks for
the input as it makes a lot of sense to schedule it after the trimester
ends.

AoA B team plays Lincoln at The Boys and Girls Club.

Staff Meeting – Wednesday, 11/7 from
2:15 to 3:15 pm in Room 226
After
meeting as a group, teachers will have the opportunity to work in their
enrichment wheel teams. If you don’t teach an enrichment wheel class, you can
meet in teams or work individually.
Leadership Team – Wednesday, 11/7 from
3:30 to 4:30 pm
We’ll
meet in Taryn’s room after the staff meeting to begin helping determine our
academic program for next year. This is the 1st of many
conversations – information and input will be shared and gathered at various
staff meetings.

Athletic Dress Day – Friday, 11/9 and Staff v.
Student Flag Football Game
Students can wear athletic clothing including: basketball shorts, sweat pants, and team jersey’s and jackets, (with their athletic shoes, of course), or their school uniforms to school on Friday. Students can wear jeans if they have an athletic shirt or jersey on. Staff can wear jeans with their athletic wear. There will be a staff v. student flag football game that begins approximately 15 minutes into the lunch period. Everyone is welcome to play and/or watch – just show up! Please see Friday’s revised schedule that was attached to the staff bulletin email sent out on Sunday, 11/4.

Remember to prepare for
our conversations over the next two weeks by reviewing the teacher standards’
continuum that I sent out Wednesday and thinking about an area of your practice
that you want to focus on for the rest (or most) of the year.
Spaghetti Dinner – Thursday, November 8 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm
I hope that you are able
to attend the dinner/fundraiser on Thursday, 11/8. Staff members do not have to
pay and family members and friends are only $5. Please make a point of asking promoting
this event to students in your advisory classes. You might want to tell them to
enter it into their student planners.
