Book Fair
English
teachers, please coordinate visits to the library. If every staff member can
promote it throughout the week, that would be great. The book fair will be open
at lunch and after school each day through Thursday as well as open throughout
our Open House.

Board Meeting
Sherice
Youngblood will be sworn in as a new Board member to replace Monica Packer.
Sherice is the parent of an incoming 6th grader - another son graduated last
year and she is a strong advocate for The Academy in the community.
Wednesday - 5/22
Staff Meeting – From 2:15
to 3:00 pm
We
have a short agenda for Wednesday, Eighth grade teachers should bring their
grade books, as we will discuss support options for those students who are
still receiving one or more F or are at risk of under-performing academically
and/or behaviorally. We may identify some students who have already lost
graduation celebration privileges.
Open House - From 6:30 to 8:00
pm
Teachers
should be in their classes by 6:15. Remember to display student work if
possible and be prepared to discuss how you are ending the school year.
