determining the area’s of focus for teachers development (observation rubric),
and a beginning of the year check in.
Wednesday
Staff Meeting – Wednesday – 9/11 from 3:30 to 4:30 pm in Room 208
Thursday
Back-to-School Social – 9/12 from 6:00 to 8:05 pm
You will have time to meet in grade levels to plan for the
following night’s back-to-school-event. The following topics should be covered
in your presentation to parents: a brief introduction (bio related to
education) as to why you enjoy teaching what you teach, a course overview –
including units, grading and homework policies, and best ways to contact you.
Friday
Club Fair – 9/13 at Lunch
There will be tables set up on the blacktop – bring a sign promoting
your club and a sign-up sheet. We’ll start the fair 10 minutes into lunch.
Miscellaneous
- Pictures on Website - there are a few teachers who have not yet put their pictures up. There is a requirement that homework and major projects and assignments are posted and grades are entered in a timely manner - one week from a given assignment. Parents are beginning to review School Loop so it is essential that teachers websites are maintained.
