Just a reminder that you only have to fill out the comments section of the progress reports (not work habits or citizenship) – as well as giving a grade for each student, of course. This is a good time to
contact the parents of those students who are significantly under-performing as
well as those who have showed solid improvement.

We have a longer PD meeting this week as we are doing some equity work with Lynda Tredway. Please think of a
dilemma that you might briefly present to a group of 5 or 6 teachers. The
dilemma can be about a student or group of students who present challenging
behavior, are hard to engage, hard to “connect” to etc. To be fully prepared,
please right a sentence or two that summarizes it.
Thursday/Friday
Encinal High School Science Class Presentations - Thursday, 1/17 (Period 7) and Friday, 1/18 (Periods 1 - 6)
Representatives from Encinal High will come to each 8th grade science class to begin the registration process for those attending Encinal next year. I'll have more information on this for teachers of 8th graders by Monday afternoon.
